What is Message-Level Restore?
Email message restore or message-level restore refers to the process of selectively restoring or retrieving individual email messages from
backup data, rather than entire personal folders, mailboxes or databases.
Backup service providers such as CRC offers email message restore for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes/Domino and Novell GroupWise users to protect and restore individual or group emails, at the mailbox level, without interrupting the email server.
The feature of email message restore is particularly important for industries who must operate in compliance with Federal regulations regarding access to electronic records and information.
